PennDOT announced that Digital Message Sign (DMS) installations will be performed at night on I-95 in Philadelphia under a $31.7 million project to install and update Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment across regional highways.
Weather permitting, motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, March 23, through Sunday, March 29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Broad Street/Pattison Avenue (Exit 17) and Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue (Exit 19) interchanges.
- Monday, March 23, through Sunday, March 29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue (Exit 30) and Academy Road (Exit 32) interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
