South Carolina Man Arrested by Morrisville Police for Allegedly Raping Female Family Member

Morrisville Borough Police arrested and charged a South Carolina man rapes and sodomy of a teenaged family member dating back to alleged assaults in 2023 and 2024.

Marlon Portillo 36 of  Orangeburg, SC was preliminarily arraigned on May 12 and charged with multiple felony  counts of rape, corruption of minors  and related offenses. He was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of the $750,000.00 bond.

The investigation, according to court records, was launched on Wednesday Sept. 25, 2024 when Morrisville Borough Police received a phone call from Falls Township Police who advised Morrisville authorities of an alleged rape that occurred at the Quality Inn, located at 7 South Pennsylvania Avenue.

The victim’s mother informed police that her daughter told her a family member (Portillo) put his penis in her.

The mother told investigating officer Amanda DeLuca the incidents occurred between August and September of 2023. She also said that her daughter told her that the family member had done bad things to her, according to the probable cause.

Police, according to the probable cause,  made a ChildLine referral and set up a forensic interview with the Children’s Advocacy Center.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, police met with a Bucks County Children & Youth staff member at the victim’s home in the Falls Twp. section of Morrisville.

The victim disclosed that around Oct. 22, 2023, Portillo and an underaged female family member came to Morrisville to visit her. Portillo picked the victim up from Pennsbury High School West and told her that he wanted to take her to the movies and to tell her mother that they were going to the movie theater, police wrote in court papers.

The victim said the suspect had taken her and the female family member to the Quality Inn in Morrisville, according to court papers.

The victim said Portillo put a movie on his phone and propped it up in front of the queen bed in the room. She further said that the female family member was lying on the bed with them and watching the movie. At this time, she said the suspect opened her bra, pulled her breast to the side and started sucking on it.

At this time, the female family member got up to use the bathroom and was in the bathroom for a while, police said in court records. Portillo allegedly pulled down the victim‘s pants, his pants, and sodomized her.

The victim said he then ejaculated in her, according to court records.

The victim told investigators she was in pain and afterwards Portillo allegedly asked her if she wanted him to buy her the “plan B” pill.

The victim told DeLuca this was the last sexual interaction with the suspect and on Sept. 17, 2024 she sent a text message to him telling him how she felt about him “raping” her, according to court records.

The subsequent forensic interview at the Children’s Advocacy Center took place Oct. 4, 2024, police said in court records.

The victim told the forensic interviewer that there was anal penetration at the Quality Inn “rape”  in October of 2023, the probable cause says.

The victim told investigators Portillo penetrated her digitally, anally and vaginally during that alleged rape, court records show.

The victim disclosed to police that she went to the bathroom afterwards and was bleeding from being sodomized and that semen did come out of her.

Morrisville police obtained a copy of the forensic interview video from the Children’s Advocacy Center and a sign-out log from Pennsbury High School that showed Portillo signed her out of school on Oct. 20, 2023 at 12:37 p.m.

Morrisville Borough Police also obtained records from the Quality Inn that show Portillo renting a room and checking in on Oct. 20, 2023 at 1:59 p.m., and checking out on Oct. 22, 2023 at 10:10 a.m., according to the probable cause.

Portillo hired William Alfred Weiss, Esq.  a Philadelphia based attorney to represent him at his  next court hearing scheduled for June 30 in Morrisville District Court.
