Suspect to Victim: Do the Right Thing, Don’t Show Up To Court

A Massachusetts man is heading to trial after District Judge John Galloway ruled at a Wednesday preliminary hearing that the Commonwealth presented enough evidence to sustain intimidating a victim charges.

48 year-old Phillip Baker who is represented by the Bucks County Public Defender’s Office is due back in court at the Justice Center in Doylestown after last week’s preliminary hearing.

Perhaps the order a Bucks County District Judge put in place in March is now hitting home for the Massachusetts man who defied a no-contact order with the victim in which he’s been accused of simple assault, parent/guardian related child endangerment, charges in separate but related case, police say.

According to Falls Township Police, on April 1, officers were attending a preliminary hearing for Baker’s previous alleged domestic assault arrest.

After the hearing, police spoke with the victim regarding the hearing.

The victim, according to police, said Baker called and texted her despite a judge’s no contact order in place since late last winter.

These messages and phone calls, according to police, started on March 22, 2026 and ended on March 30, 2026.

The victim provided police with copies of the text messages and missed phone calls.

In total, according to the probable cause, there were approximately 85 text messages along with approximately 20 missed phone calls from Baker.

“Stop lying. Don’t show up Wednesday (At Court). That is how  you Right your wrongs !,” Baker said in one of the text messages sent to the victim, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim told police she believed Baker was attempting to coerce her into not showing up to a April 1  preliminary hearing.

The alleged woman beater is currently a guest at Bucks County Correctional Facility, as he’s been unable to post 10 percent of $150,000.00 bond. Baker is due back in court for hearing in Doylestown on July 10.

He is, according to online court records, scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on the assault and child endangerment charges on August 12.
