A recently held fundraiser at the Crooked Eye Brewery in Hatboro was a great success, generating 1,455 pounds of non-perishable food, as well as $1,570 in cash and grocery store gift card donations for the Warminster Food Bank.
More than 200 people attended the event throughout the day and enjoyed live performances by local bands while supporting a worthy cause. As an added incentive, attendees who brought at least one large grocery bag of donations received a $10 gift certificate to Silvio’s Deli, courtesy of a generous supporter.
The donations collected will help provide groceries and essential supplies to local families facing food insecurity. Warminster Food Bank serves more than 15,000 individuals annually throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties, with 95 percent of all monetary donations used directly to purchase groceries for those in need.
The event was hosted by Paul Hogan and Paul Mulherin, co-owners of Crooked Eye Brewery, and featured performances by:
- Shakin Not Stirred
- JAB
- Krimson Cirkus
- Blue Flame 6
- Swampy Jonz

Additional highlights included a performance by two bagpipers from the Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipes & Drums and a 50/50 raffle drawing. Silvio’s Deli, located next door to the brewery, opened exclusively for the event and offered a limited menu for attendees.
The fundraiser comes at a critical time for many food banks. Donations often decline during the summer months, while the end of the school year means many children no longer have access to free or reduced-price school meals. For families already struggling to make ends meet, the loss of school lunches can place additional strain on household budgets, forcing difficult choices between food and other basic necessities. Community events like this help bridge that gap and ensure local families continue to receive the support they need.
“We are incredibly grateful to the owners of Crooked Eye Brewery, Silvio’s Deli, the participating bands, and everyone who came out to support Warminster Food Bank,” said Mike Cerino, Executive Director. “The event brought people together for a great cause, and the generosity shown by our community will help us provide critical assistance to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.”
“Crooked Eye Brewery was honored to host an event benefiting such an important organization,” said Paul Hogan, co-owner of Crooked Eye Brewery. “This was the second year we’ve held the fundraiser, and we were overwhelmed by both the turnout and the generosity of everyone who attended. We’re proud to support the important work being done by Warminster Food Bank.”
