Republican state Representative K. C. Tomlinson (House District 18) posted a video calling out Democratic House candidate challenger Bryan Allen.
Tomlinson posted the video clip titled “Happy to Share Some Exciting News” Thursday to her reelection campaign page.
In the 2 minute and 10 second reel Tomlinson says the Allen campaign is making some noise and false accusations, and that she is disappointed because she’s always run her campaigns based on facts and hard work.
Not only has he lied and misled, but now he claims to have “all the answers” Tomlinson pointedly says.
Tomlinson, who has held the seat since April of 2020, in the video statement doesn’t specify what Allen and his campaign are lying about in any great detail, but she does go after Allen because Democrats currently hold the majority in the House and if Allen has all the “answers” he should address his issues with the House Democratic leadership.
“They make the policy decisions and hold the power in deciding what legislation runs and doesn’t run in the House so if has issues they should be directed at his fellow Democrats,” she said.
Democrats have held and maintained that slim majority since February of 2023. For about the first 34 months Tomlinson held the seat, Republicans controlled the House.
Allen has called out Tomlinson on issues surrounding charter school funding, flooding on state owned roads,
Tomlinson said since she has been in office Allen has never once reached out to her ever.
He claims to care about the issues, she said, yet in the last six years he has been completely silent.
“I’ve been working very hard and concentrating on what’s important. You can’t do this job unless you talk to the people you represent. And so far we’ve knocked just shy of 6000 doors and our goal is to hit 10,000 by Election Day,” Tomlinson said.
“My main goal has and will always be not only to serve my community but deliver,” Tomlinson said.
Tomlinson ended the video announcing she would be entering a medical facility to give birth to her daughter Vivienne Kathleen.
