A 22-year-old Maryland man is in police custody after he reportedly was lying on Bath Road screaming at shadows and subsequently terrified area residents by trying to kick in their front doors, according to Bristol Township Police
Joshua Bradshaw was arraigned by on-call District Judge Mark D. Douple Saturday morning on charges of attempted burglary, prowling, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was remanded to Bucks County Correctional with bail set at 10 percent of $50,000.
On Saturday, Aug. 15 2026 at 2:26 a.m., Bristol Township Police were dispatched to the area of Avalon Court Apartments, 3500 block, Bristol Oxford Valley Road for the report of a male lying in the roadway. Bucks County Radio received multiple calls about this male. These calls informed police a white male with no shirt on and was screaming, punching and kicking vehicles, according to the probable cause.
Upon arrival, police pulled into Avalon Court Apartments and were approached by a male who informed the police about an unknown male, later found to be Bradshaw, kicking vehicles. Police were informed that the suspect went behind Galzerano Funeral Home, located directly across the street from Avalon Court Apartments, at 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown.
Police checked behind the funeral home and it appears Bradshaw went through the bushes that lead to Brownback Road in the Blueridge section of Levittown.
Once on scene on Brownbark Rd., county dispatchers advised of a burglary in progress at 2 Brownbark Rd., in which the caller informed dispatch that someone was trying to kick in the front door, court records show.
Police were already in that area and could hear loud banging coming from the front door area of the residence. Police turned the corner to see the front door area and ordered Bradshaw to get on the ground at taser point.
Police allege he was screaming but eventually got on the ground and was handcuffed behind his back. Once handcuffed, he continued to scream profanities at residents standing inside the front door of their home.
Police spoke with residents who did not know the suspect.
They were visibly scared for their safety, officers wrote in court papers. Bradshaw allegedly broke two glass door panes in the front of the Brownbark Rd home.
Bradshaw has no attorney of record and is due back in court on September 9 for a preliminary hearing.
