Bensalem’s Ashland Manor senior housing community will soon get safer parking lots thanks to state grant funding for critical pavement repairs at the site officials announced Tuesday.
The Bucks County Industrial Development Authority (BCIDA), on behalf of the Bucks County Housing Development Corporation, will receive $91,759 for parking lot improvements at two affordable senior housing communities in Bucks County.
The project will replace deteriorated pavement at Ashland Manor in Bensalem Township and a site in Perkasie through milling and resurfacing, joint sealing and new parking stall markings, officials said.
According to a press release from, House Republicans, the work will restore approximately 27,600 square feet of pavement and address existing conditions that present safety hazards for residents and visitors at each site.
The LSA program distributes gaming revenue to economic development projects. LSA funds are distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development which administers the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages.
