An 81 year -old rider wearing a helmet was sent to a local hospital after a crash in Falls Township Tuesday evening as police seek witnesses.
According to police, at approximately 5:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Trenton Road and Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate the report of a two-vehicle traffic accident.
The preliminary investigation, Lt Chris Clark said, determined that an 81-year-old male motorcyclist from Levittown, was traveling along Trenton Road when a 51-year-old male, from Ivyland, operating a Dodge Charger, turned left from Pennsylvania Avenue onto Trenton Road after which the vehicles collided.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, sustained a head injury, while the other operator was uninjured, police said.
The motorcyclist was transported to Capital Health Regional, New Jersey, for evaluation and treatment.
Alcohol, drugs or a medical emergency are not believed to be factors in causation of the accident, said Clark
