A 16 year-old Philadelphian has been charged for a gunpoint robbery that took place in Croydon last week, according to police.
Jacob Oslowski was arraigned by on-call District Judge Joseph P. Falcone on felony robbery, aggravated assault and a misdemeanor related offense last Friday. He was remanded to the custody of Bucks County Correctional in lieu of 10 percent $100,000.00 bail with his next court appearance set for October 29.
On October 2 , at 4:05 p.m., Bristol Twp Police were dispatched to 13oo block of Miller Avenue, in Croydon for the report of a robbery that had just occurred.
Bucks County Radio advised responding officers information from a witness to the crime, that his friend, was assaulted by four subjects, and one of them had produced a firearm and pistol whipped the victim in the back of the head.
According to the witness, after Oslowski, struck the victim, the group robbed his New Balance sneakers from him and fled.
The victim and witness provided the names and description of all of the suspects, since they all knew each other, police said in court records.
One of the subjects they identified only by first name, but was later identified fully as Oslowski.
The victim said that when he was struck by the gun the suspect had it felt like a real weapon, and one of the other individuals was in possession of a bb gun, the probable cause alleges.
At 4:29 p.m., police located and detained Oslowski in the area of Woodlawn and Magnolia Ave in Croydon.
He was, according to police, wearing a black backpack at the time he was stopped by Police.
Located within the backpack were a pair of New Balance sneakers that were allegedly robbed from victim,police said in court records.
The victim identified Oslowski as the subject who pistol whipped him and robbed his sneakers
According to the probable cause, a short distance away, in the area of Magnolia and Cedar Avenues, a black bag containing a Glock 43x firearm was recovered along with a black BB gun.
Police were directed to this area by a subject that had knowledge of the weapons location, court records show.
As of publication time it is unknown whether or not any other suspects will be charged connected to this incident
The Bucks County Public Defender’s office is representing Oslowski, in this matter, according to court records.
