Voice of the people is the LBS’s Opinion-Editorial Page with one caveat; the opinions submitted, are those of our readers, elected officials, candidates, etc. Whether its the the opinion of a Mother in Bensalem to the concerned citizen in Morrisville and all points in between the the varied voices matter.
LBS does not believe its role is to shape a community’s opinion with its own. We will leave that to other publications who want to act as the conscience of entire county.
As a community based news operation our business is not to pass judgement on the people, places and entities we cover. It is to report the news and comments and information originating from them.
Op-eds submitted MUST have a first name, last name, and contact number included for confirmation purposes.
Additionally any assertion made -published numbers, facts, figures, or quoted materials must include a link or the source for the information communicated.
Essentially, no sourcing for the identified above. The Op-Ed will not be published.
Submissions can be no more than 450 words and will be edited according to the Associated Press Style Guide. Submitting a photo image is recommended for Voice of the People Op-Ed’s
The idea of Op-ed submissions is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution, but similarly hate and vulgar related speech will not be tolerated if it has nothing to do with the context of the issue being discussed.
LBM reserves the right to reject submissions based upon the above, but will accept edits for rejected op-eds.
