Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck said Friday the dead man found by the Burlington-Bristol Bridge has yet to be identified.
The reported identity of the male, found dead on Sunday, August 21, 2022, in the vicinity of Rt. 413 and Maple Avenue in Bristol Township has not yet been identified, she said.
He is, approximately 5 feet 6 inches with dark hair, Officials said.
An autopsy was performed on the deceased man, however a cause of death has yet to be released.
Bucks said earlier this week, until the man was identified, she would not release any information on the cause of death.
Until we can identify who the person is, I won’t be releasing any information. Its important to me and this office we find the next of kin,” she said.
“We are asking anyone with information to contact the Detective Kitchenman of the Bristol Township Police Department at 267-812–3056 or the Bucks County Coroner’s Office at 267-880–5656.,” Buck added.
A second man found deceased in the Quakertown area was identified as 39 year old Adam Smith who went missing on August 11, 2022, from Quakertown Borough, Buck said.
His cause and manner of death are still under investigation by the Coroner’s Office, officials said.
“The Bucks County Coroner’s Office has notified his next of kin and offers his family and friends sincerest condolences.”

A trio of kids riding skateboarding Sunday afternoon discovered a decomposing dead body in the wooded area near the Burlington -Bristol Bridge.
The boys were riding their bikes around 4 pm when making the gruesome discovery, sources told Lower Bucks Source Monday afternoon.
Bristol Township Police and Bucks County Detectives responded to the scene which is in proximity to a skate park off the road, beside an entrance to the bridge, witnesses. said.
A concerned citizen who was seeking information about the death said the discovery shook up her son considerably.
He was having difficulty describing what he saw, she said, and now has the “jitters.”
A spokesperson for the Bucks County District Attorney’s office confirmed county detectives were at the scene, and will not release any additional information pending a coroner’s office determination.

“Until we can identify who the person is, I won’t be releasing any information. Its important to me and this office we find the next of kin,” she said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday to determine the manner of death, Buck said.
Buck said it was the second body found deceased over the weekend. The other body was located in the Quakertown area.
No additional information was released about that dearth by the Coroner’s office.
