An early Friday morning blaze, in Bristol Township, with first reports of victims trapped inside was knocked back by area fire crews.
Fire officials on scene said the raging fire on the 1000 block Tacoma Street was reported just past 3 am with the homeowner trapped inside. Officials said there were several vehicles in the driveway of the residence when they arrived on scene
An initial report said the homeowner was refusing to leave. Bensalem and Bucks County Rescue Squads were added to the call due to a possible entrapment report.
Meanwhile fire crews from Third District, Bristol Consolidated, American Hose Hook and Ladder made a “very aggressive” incursion to get into the bedrooms where no one was found, said Third District Fire Chief Howard McGoldrick.
The blaze was placed within 40 minutes and no injuries were reported, said McGoldrick, but did say the fire started on the outside of the home and is now under investigation.
