Say it isn’t so! We all knew one of these years, it would happen, and it looks like last night was the night. The Eagles after their loss to the Buccaneers also found out it was to be Jason Kelce’s last game.
He sat on the sidelines at the end of the game, emotions showing big time. He even declined to speak to media. NFL.com says Kelce, after the game, informed his teammates he was retiring.
For two years prior, the future Hall of Famer thought about retirement, but decided to stay. This year, the decision is cast as he says goodbye to the team, fans and the league.
Kudos to the big man. An astonishing career for the center of the Eagles for the last 13 seasons.
Kelce leaves at the peak of his powers; The New Heights podcast with Jason with his brother Travis, Campbell Soup commercials, even selected as one of People’s Sexist Men of the Year.
The Eagles may have lost the game last night, but they lost something even more; They lost one of the best players and ambassador, of the game when Kelce decided it was the time to hang up the cleats.
