The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced on Friday that resurfacing operations are scheduled next week on state highways in Bucks.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a lane closure is scheduled on Butler Avenue between County Line Road and New Britain Road in New Britain and Doylestown townships and Chalfont Borough for paving.

  • Wednesday, May 8, through Thursday, May 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weekday periodic lane closures are scheduled on Worthington Mill Road between Route 232 (Second Street Pike) and Swamp Road in Wrightstown & Northampton Townships for milling and paving.

  • Wednesday, May 8, through Thursday, May 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) between Bustleton Pike and Swamp Road in Wrightstown and Northampton townships for milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
