The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that a bridge inspection on I-95 and also guiderail repairs are scheduled in on Interstate 95, I-295, and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway/Roosevelt Boulevard).
Motorists are advised of the following restrictions:
- Tuesday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 at the Philadelphia International Airport Interchange for a bridge inspection.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Thursday, May 30, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue interchanges for core borings.
Motorists are also advised of periodic weekday lane closures on Wednesday, May 29, through Wednesday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the following locations:
- I-95 between the Academy Road and Route 413 interchanges in Bensalem and Bristol townships, Bucks County.
- I-295 between the I-95 and New Hope interchanges in Bristol, Middletown, and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
- I-95 between the I-76 West/Valley Forge and Academy Road interchanges in Philadelphia.
- U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway/Roosevelt Boulevard) between the I-76 and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) interchanges in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
