Lower Bucks Source, on Friday, spoke to the father of the teenage girl who was struck Tuesday afternoon in front of Brookwood Elementary School on Tuesday.
He said his daughter is not a Brookwood student but a junior at Truman High School. The father who asked to remain anonymous while the investigation is still ongoing said his daughter’s ok, but she didn’t break her foot. Yes she’s on crutches at the moment with badly banged up foot and several scratches on her leg.
The tipsters in the original story said she was an elementary school student and had suffered a broken foot.
He said he understood how the flow of information was not completely accurate since the witnesses and his daughter were shaken by the incident.
One witness, who asked also to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation, said she was traumatized by what she saw.
The father did tell the publication an additional detail Lower Bucks Source held back from the original story. The driver of the Dodge Charger allegedly cursed the witnesses who pursued him after he ran over the girl’s foot.
Yea she told me him about.
What pisses me off, he said, is the guy just left the Haines Road scene.
“Who does that?,” he asked incredulously.
He said his daughter was interviewed by Bristol Township Police last week and had no idea who the striking motorist is.
You know, I said to my daughter, this is the first time since she was born, we had to take her to the emergency room for something ever, finding a silver lining the two could share after some intense moments there. Amazing, right, the Levittown dad said.
The suspect, known to police, has yet to be charged as of Saturday afternoon.

A Brookwood Elementary School student was struck Tuesday leaving her with injuries as Bristol Township Police say they have a suspect.
Anonymous sources told Lower Bucks Source about the reported “hit and run” involving a Dodge Charger between 1 and 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the crosswalk on 2200 Haines Road.
The female student suffered a broken foot, the concerned citizen said, as the motorist “took off.”
Through an intermediary, a witness “to the whole thing” has been encouraged to speak with township police.
We did locate the driver. I can’t comment any further because it is an ongoing investigation, Sgt Jason Mancuso said.
“I would like you to encourage the witness to contact me at my email address, jmancuso139@bristolpd.org so we can gather her statement,” the Sgt added.
Classes start Tuesday at the elementary school located in the Levittown section of Bristol Township, however, there is a park and basketball courts on the grounds of the educational facility.
A review of online court records could not be successfully completed Thursday evening as the system is currently down for maintenance, officials said.
