on

Amazon Fresh opened its doors in Bensalem last month and now their Middletown Township site will will begin to welcome customers beginning September 26

“We are excited to announce a new Amazon Fresh store in Oxford Valley, Pennsylvania the public on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The Oxford Valley location is the fourth Amazon Fresh store in Pennsylvania. This new, affordable grocery store in the community will offer a wide selection of quality groceries and a convenient shopping experience. We’re also proud to support the community by creating dozens of jobs in the Oxford Valley area and by donating surplus food from the Amazon Fresh store to the Philabundance Food Bank,” Amazon spokesman Griffin Buch said.

The store, which is located in the Lincoln Plaza shopping center off East Lincoln Highway is the fourth Amazon Fresh location in Pennsylvania and third in Bucks County (Warrington, Bensalem) is approximately 44,500 sq. ft.

The new Amazon Fresh store  will feature the company’s latest brick-and-mortar design unveiled last year in select Chicago and Southern California stores. Customers can expect to find a wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce and protein, as well as Amazon’s private-label brands like Aplenty, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Saver, and 365 by Whole Foods Market—all at great low prices, said Buch

Amazon already has a large online grocery business and millions of products available for fast delivery, but if you want to serve as many grocery needs as we do, you have to offer customers great selection, value, and convenience—not just online, but in physical stores too. We remain committed to grocery, and will selectively open new Amazon Fresh stores as we see positive customer feedback on the new format, as well as continue to open new Whole Foods Market stores.

What sets Amazon Fresh apart is its ability to merge the convenience of online grocery shopping with an elevated in-store experience. Customers can take advantage of fast grocery delivery and pickup options, while also enjoying ways to make grocery shopping in store more convenient, like the Amazon Dash Cart and Amazon One, Buch said.

Company officials did not say if a grand opening event is scheduled. like the one in Bensalem last month.

Starr Tours Headquarters Rollin’ into Falls Twp

Published

Starr Tours, a third-generation family business, will open its brand in Falls Township in January 2026.

The family business, which will celebrate its 79th year in 2026, plans to open its new headquarters in Fairless Hills this January. Owned by Peter and Sandy Borowsky of Lower Makefield, it appears as if the final construction touches are underway.

Starr Tours began its long history by Sandy’s grandfather in 1947 with two transit buses that provided route service between Trenton and Hightstown, NJ. It was from these early beginnings that Starr grew to become one of the largest privately owned bus companies in America, according to Starr media officials.

The company will occupy the site at 394 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills, the former home of B&B Automotive and is situated between Better Homes Hearth & Patio, 386 Lincoln Hwy. and Rhein’s Sunoco gas station, 398 Lincoln Highway (intersection of Lincoln Highway and North Olds Blvd). Bucks County Author, Educator Releases 2 New Books, Online Educational Network on Emotional Development of Children

Published

on

If you know Deena Fischer, founder of Stages Academy Performing Arts Schools you know she is a driven educator, passionate about the theatrical arts and when she sets her sights on a mountain to climb she does so in the graceful fashion of the ballet pirouettes she used to pull of years ago.

Fischer on Tuesday announced the release of two new, beautifully written and illustrated picture books, “Max is a BIG Deal” and “Mollie Mouse is Worried Sick” as her next professional cliff to.

Both books introduce young readers to charming animal characters who navigate big feelings and everyday challenges with warmth, humor, and heart, Fischer said.

In :Max is a BIG Deal,” readers meet Max Mouse, who struggles with learning what’s a “big deal” versus a “little deal.” With the help of his mom, Max learns to manage his emotions, think before reacting, and find calm in the chaos — a perfect story for helping preschoolers and early elementary students build emotional awareness and problem-solving skills.

In “Mollie Mouse is Worried Sick,” Max’s friend Mollie faces her own challenge: overwhelming anxiety. With the gentle support of her mother, Mollie learns a simple calming technique to breathe, redirect her thoughts, and face her fears — an essential lesson for today’s young children learning to navigate worry and self-regulation in an ever-changing world.

Together, these books form part of a growing social-emotional learning (SEL) series that uses relatable stories and animal characters to help children understand and manage their feelings, practice empathy, and build resilience.

In tandem with the release of the books Fischer is launching a companion website Bright Lantern Learning bringing her vision to life online, offering a growing library of children’s books, teaching materials, parent resources, and activities that spark curiosity and emotional connection. The site will also feature insights for parents and educators on supporting early childhood emotional development through storytelling and creative play, Fischer explained.

“Stories can be lanterns — they light the way for children to understand themselves and others,” says Fischer. “Through Max, Mollie, and their friends, I want kids to see that big feelings are okay — and that with the right tools, they can always find their calm and confidence. At Bright Lantern, we strive to build emotional confidence – one story at a time!”

Max is a Big Deal and Mollie Mouse is Worried Sick are available now through www.brightlanternlearning.com, Amazon, and select retailers.

Fischer as part of the last act of her new educational play, said she’s in the final stages of launching a podcast through the Bright Lantern Learning website.
