New Jersey Man Charged for Defying Bucks Court Order, Also Charged for Threats, Harassment

A New Jersey man, who had a Protection From Abuse order filed against him, defied the judge’s order to turn over a gun  to Bucks County authorities, and has been additionally charged charged for threats and harassment by Yardley Borough Police.

According to police, Brian R. Hirsch, of Freehold, New Jersey was ordered to relinquish his firearms to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office within twenty-four (24) hours of being served the PFA by Yardley Borough Chief of Police Joseph Kelly.

Hirsch allegedly sent an email to the Yardley Police, which said ‘I am in receipt of your correspondence. I do not own any guns to surrender. Please Contact my attorney Catherine Ann Porter Esp. Newtown PA in the future. Brian Hirsch,’ court records show.

Hirsch, as part of the sent email, sent a photo attachment of a ‘consignment agreement’ dated October 2nd, 2024 from a gun shop named Howell Gun Works LLC, located in New Jersey  The alleged gun consignment was between Hirsch and the gun store for a weapon described as a Glock 23 .40 serial number GEW318. The consignment sale was for two hundred dollars ($200) with the gun store getting fifteen (15%) percent of the said sale.

After speaking with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined this consignment is in violation of section 23 PA 6108.3 “Relinquishment to third party for safekeeping”.

Hirsch was advised multiple times to surrender the weapon to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.  Several failed attempts were made by police to contact the attorney referenced in his email.  Hirsch did not provide police with the attorney’s contact information, just a first and last name. Hirsch also did not respond to police efforts to contact him.

Hirsch, police contend, is in violation of section 18 6105(a1).2 which clearly states he is to turn over all weapons since he is the subject of a PFA and he can’t avoid turning them over as the statute reads by sale or consignment.

He is charged by mail summons with intentionally/knowingly fails to relinquish firearm/weapon to Sheriff required by order.

After filing this complaint, Yardley Police filed a second set of allegations charging Hirsch for threatening harassment and threatening a borough resident.  That incident appears to be the reason for the Protection From Abuse order being approved. Court records show the incident date as September 30, one day before the protective order was put into place and the same day Yardley authorities demanded he turn in his firearm(s).

For both cases, Hirsch is being summoned to court by mail, according to court records, in which he is scheduled to appear on Nov 12 to answer the charges in both cases.

Brian Hirsch was told by Chief hypocrite Joe Kelly of the Yardley Borough selective enforcement agency, (A family man with daughters himself.) That “you have 3 days to turn in your guns.” That statement is contrary to PA law in which it must be sold or turned in within 24 hours in which Mr Hirsch complied. (Mr Hirsch has chief hypocrite Kelly on video saying this) So it seems that Chief hypocrite Kelly does not know the laws he supposedly enforces.

Chief hypocrite Kelly also enjoys “special rights”, in which while in uniform, he left Yardley PA and personally swore in his son as a police officer in NJ in a special ceremony, according to an online article. Yet Chief hypocrite Kelly has not helped Mr Hirsch nor any of his family for the past 9 years during attempted custody exchanges that were COURT ORDERED in which Shannan McGinniss of Yardley PA refused custody exchanges. (Mr Hirsch has 132 attempted Court ordered custody exchanges on video) In clear violation of PACS 2904, (Interference of a custody order) a felony, third degree. Yet the Bucks County District Attorneys office stated in writing to Mr Hirsch that it “lacks prosecutorial merit”. So therefore average citizens like Mr Hirsch do not get to even visit their children as a result.

In 2019 The Governor of Pennsylvania signed Act 79 into effect. It states that a firearm may be sold legally to an FFL. (aka a gun store). Under NJ law. A consignment sale is also “binding” in that a separate purchase permit must be presented and is ONLY issued by a NJ based police department. Without a pistol permit, the firearm cannot be “sold back” to the seller. Therefore Mr Hirsch IS in compliance with the law. Under the 1968 Federal gun control act, Mr Hirsch is also in compliance by legally selling his firearm in his home state of NJ.

There is NO evidence of terroristic threats made by Mr Hirsch. Another bullshit charge made up by the Yardley Borough selective enforcement agency. As well as the “add on” bullshit charge of harassment with no evidence. Of course, Yardley selective enforcer Sgt. William Golden lied repeatedly on the stand in the Morrisville Magistrate court, in order to get the charges sent up to the Bucks Cty Court of Common Pleas. And the transcripts prove it!

Mr Hirsch provided his lawyers contact information to the Yardley selective enforcement agency as a courtesy. It seems that many Yardley officers have “room temperature IQ’s” if they are incapable of dialing a telephone or answering an email correctly with contact information.

One would think that Chief hypocrite Kelly and his selective enforcers, many of whom are Fathers themselves would enforce PACS 2904, which is Interference of a custody order. But they do not. And 20 million parents like myself have been “erased” from our children’s lives as a result. In fact ALL 50 states have similar statutes. The Yardley Borough selective enforcers and the “do nothing” DA’s office could enforce the law. And children in Bucks County would have a relationship with BOTH their parents. Instead only cops, DA’s and judges in Bucks County enjoy meaningful relationships with their children.
Florida Gov. Ron Desantis signed into law 50/50 custody laws in Florida. The next year domestic violence dropped -46% according to NPO, National Parents Organization. There IS a direct correlation between custody and domestic violence. Maybe Pennsylvania will “come out of the dark ages” and join the other 7 states that have 50/50 custody laws, and also enforce existing custody orders equally. Instead they “trump up charges” against a good parent and destroy lives by their arrogance.
ERASINGFAMILY.ORG is a documentary film about the 20-40 million American children who have been “erased” from their parents lives. The long term implications on children because of the current state of affairs from selective enforcers to dim wit, do nothing district attorney offices, are severe and long lasting on kids. America can do much better. America has to do better. Maybe defunding the Yardley Borough selective enforcement agency is a meaningful start. And maybe this online rag paper will look into getting enforcement of PACS 2904 Interference of a custody order and why the District attorneys office refuses to do so.

Yes I am Mr Hirsch and I signed my name but you act as if you don’t know what is going on. Your article already has my attorney s name. Maybe you should get your facts straight before publishing incorrect information. Or better yet watch a 3 minute video from Erasingfamily.org and see how the Yardley Borough selective enforcement agency facilitates destruction of child parent relationships by non enforcement of PACS 2904, felony 3rd degree then incorrectly calls themselves “heroes”.

Buyers Beware: Thieves Are Using Social Media to Sell Stolen Vehicles, Cops Say

Published

By

Police across the commonwealth are warning consumers looking to purchase vehicles online about an uptick in reports in which thieves are using social media based sites to sell stolen vehicles.

Police departments across  Pennsylvania are seeing an uptick of cases in which criminals are using channels like Facebook Marketplace to sell stolen vehicles, often with counterfeit titles or falsified paperwork, law enforcement officials say.

At least one investigator reported, investigators say, that of the vehicles recovered, almost none of them exhibit signs of tampering or damage.

Be cautious and help protect yourself:

  • Verify Vehicle History: Always check the vehicle identification number (VIN) and run a full vehicle history report.
  • Avoid Cash-Only Transactions: Use traceable payment methods and meet sellers in safe, public locations.
  • Inspect Carefully: Look for signs of tampering and never buy a car without confirming its ownership and documentation.

And always remember, authorities say,  if something doesn’t seem right, trust your instincts. Stay alert, stay safe, and don’t let a quick deal turn into a costly mistake.

DA-Elect Khan Prepares to Take Office; Transition Team to Seek Community Input

Published

District Attorney-elect Joe Khan earlier this month formally announced the launch of his Transition Committee.

Khan thanked outgoing District Attorney Jennifer Schorn for her support during this process.

For the remainder of 2025, the Transition Committee will advise Khan as he prepares to take the oath of office in January, a transition team spokesman said.

“In 2026, the committee will reorganize and seek community input for reforms that can be recommended to Khan during his first 120 days in Office. The Committee will conclude its work by assessing and reporting on the status of any recommended actions and strategies,” officials said in a release.be

Last week Khan announced Brendan Flynn (Chief of Staff) Kristin McElroy (Chief Deputy District Attorney) and Elizabeth Oquendo (First Chief of Civil Enforcement) would be joining his team.

“Brendan’s life in public service began at age 18 when he was sworn in at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and has included service as a homicide prosecutor in Philadelphia and as an aide to then-Congressman Patrick Murphy in Bucks County. I’ve worked with Brendan to resolve high stakes matters over the last few years and I can’t wait for him to step into this critical new role serving and protecting our community!,” said Khan.

Flynn also co-chairs the transition team.

“KMac” is an exceptional public servant who has dedicated her career to protecting the most vulnerable in Bucks County. Her integrity, energy and work ethic will set the standard of excellence in this exciting next chapter of the DA’s Office!,” the DA elect said.

“Oquendo will be returning to Bucks from the PA Attorney General’s Office, where she has enforced consumer protection laws to keep us safe from unscrupulous business practices. I am so excited to work with Elizabeth again!,” Khan said.

“I’m blown away by the talent and wisdom of these legal superstars and grateful for their counsel as we equip the DA’s Office to address the 21st century challenges facing crime victims, working families, and our environment,” the DA-Elect said.

Khan was elected District Attorney this past November earning 54% of the vote, winning more votes than any candidate for this office in the history of Bucks County, according to his transition team.
