Construction on 611 Will Require Periodic Lane Closures In Philadelphia Until July of 2025

PennDOT announced roadway construction continues on Route 611 (Broad Street) in Philadelphia under a local safety improvement project which will cause lane closures on a main arterial in Philadelphia for eight months

If you travel in Philadelphia, PennDOT advises motorists of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, November 4, through Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 9 a.m.  to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 611 (Broad Street) between Pattison Avenue and League Island Boulevard for lighting and signage installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
