Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County officially welcomed Christian, a mother of three, to her new home in the Croydon section of Bristol Township with the spirit of Thanksgiving serving as background and the seasonal melodies of the Holidays nearing full pitch
The celebration focused on the achievements and determination of Christian and her family, and wished them all the best as they embarked on this exciting new chapter, Habitat Bucks officials said.
Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie was on hand, offering congratulations and support to Christian, her family and the great community partners, Habitat Bucks.
Built on property that was once one of dozens of vacant blighted homes, it’s one of several, Bristol Township Manager Randee Mazur said, that was purchased by the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County who then sold it to Habitat Bucks to covert the space into brand new environment friendly homes.
Overcome with joy and gratitude, Christian called up to the lectern, the volunteer construction team members and Habitat Bucks staff members who facilitated the proper conditions for the amazing accomplishment to come to fruition
“We’re thankful for our volunteers, donors, ReStore shoppers, staff and all of our supporters for believing in our mission to ensure everyone has a safe, decent place to call,” Florence Kawoczka -CEO of Habitat Bucks- said.
