The Bristol Township Police Department visited students to introduce them to ALICE Training (Alert Lockdown. Inform. Counter Evacuate) during last fall
During the fall, Officer Dob #177, Officer Fedena #217, and Officer Clausen #220 introduced the training to township students, empowering them to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
ALICE training teaches students simple yet effective strategies to take control of their safety:
Alert: Recognizing potential threats and alerting authorities
Lockdown: Securing themselves in a safe location
Inform: Communicating with authorities and providing vital information
Counter: Using creative strategies to distract or disrupt a threat
Evacuate: Safely exiting the premises when necessary
By incorporating ALICE training, safety officials say, into the curriculum, students are provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
This training enhances their personal safety, fosters a sense of community, and promotes responsibility among our students. We’re proud to assist with this valuable program to our young students and are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment that allows them to thrive, township police said.
“The Police Department is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for students” Bristol Twp public safety authorities said.
“Remember, safety is everyone’s responsibility!”
