A Feasterville man has been charged with felony rape, incest, and misdemeanor indecent assault in connection with a family gathering in September.
Officers from Lower Southampton Township Police responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the early morning hours on September 7, 2024 at the 600 block of Ave C in Trevose. The Emergency Room staff at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne notified investigators of the alleged sexual assault incident.
Police arrived at Saint Mary Medical Center and met with the assaulted 18-year-old female victim.
In her statement, the victim said she attended a family gathering at her biological uncle’s house on Friday, September 6. She told police her uncle’s name is Charles “Chip” Boyd, and he lives with his family at this address, court records show.
She told police that after the family gathering, on September 7, she and Boyd went to the garage to ride quads. Due to drinking, the suspect’s wife took the keys for the quads so they couldn’t go out riding, police wrote in court papers.
The victim told police other family members were present when she and Boyd went into the garage. This is a detached garage located several feet from the residence. Eventually, the others returned to the residence, leaving her and Boyd alone.
She and Boyd engaged in a conversation in the garage. She stated that he then grabbed her by the throat with one hand and said, “Do you like this?.” She stated that he then began to kiss her and put his hands underneath her sweatshirt and began touching her breasts.
Boyd then told her to turn around and bend over. She replied “no” and he told her it was ok as he is “snipped/fixed and she won’t get pregnant”. She stated she said “no” again. He then turned her around and forced her pants down as she was leaning against the wall. She stated that he penetrated her vagina with his penis.
The victim said she told him that it was hurting her and that she “can’t do this anymore.” However, he did not stop.
She said Boyd then pulled his penis out of her vagina and ended the encounter.
She was able to pull her pants up and walk out of the garage where she met with his brother and told him what had happened. His brother then called the victim’s brother to come and pick her up.
When she got in the car, she told her brother what had happened, so he drove her directly to Saint Mary Medical Center for treatment, police said.
While at Saint Mary Medical Center, medical staff noticed that there was blood on the victim and also on the grey sweatshirt that she was wearing.
During the Emergency Room visit at Saint Mary Medical Center a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner was notified and responded to assist with the investigation. After the victim provided written consent for the examination, medical staff administered a Sexual Assault Kit and examination and assisted with collecting the seized clothing garments, the criminal complaint says.
Subsequently police proceeded to the Ave C address where they met with the suspect and his wife, at the front door and on the front steps, said police.
Police advised the Boyds about the investigation and asked them if they wanted to speak with them about the allegation, to which they both said “Yes.” Police also asked for written consent to search the detached garage and they again both said yes. Boyd was provided with a written consent to search document which he reviewed and signed, allowing us consent to search the garage.
Upon entry into the garage police noted there is a video camera set up in the far-left corner. Police asked Boyd how the camera is monitored and he stated that it is cloud based and the service provider is “Wyze Cam.” He brought up the camera footage on his Apple iPhone cell phone and showed me the camera views which included the interior of the garage.
Under exigent circumstances police asked Boyd for his phone and he handed it to them. Boyd provided the password when asked and also the phone number and service provider, T-Mobile.
The phone was put on Airplane mode and plugged in, as it is stored in the Lower Southampton Police evidence holding, investigators said. Police conducted further investigation into the cell phone number and learned its listed operating company is T-Mobile USA and the source/owner is Charles Boyd.
On October 4, 2024, police executed a search warrant at the Ave C residence to seize all camera lenses, electronic devices used to store digital video footage to include computers, DVR’s, electronic mail addresses, usernames and passwords stored in the device and in any other electronic media attached to or found with the device, including but not limited to SIM cards and flash memory cards which are attached to the residence and detached garage, according to the probable cause.
Policer verified through Boyd that his WYZE account which monitors the video camera system which is affixed to the residence and garage is affiliated with his verizon.net email account. Police also obtained the MAC identification numbers from the seized cameras, court records show.
Police reviewed the seized data, images and video clip and observed several digital images which captured the reported rape along with a video clip.
A DNA Analysis report from the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab, police said, indicated Boyd’s known DNA sample matched with the rape kit swabs recovered during assault kit examination.
Magisterial District Judge Daniel Baranoski arraigned Boyd last Wednesday setting bail at 10 percent of $50,000. which was posted immediately. He is currently scheduled to appear in court on Feb 5 and is represented by Michael Kotik, Esq. of SKA Law Group LLC out of Philadelphia according to online court records.

Someone should reach out to the DA and have them look into the history of the family. Word is that man’s son molested his own sister a few years back and another child family member with autism. Not sure if it was ever documented. The man in this article is apparently known for exposing himself at random and even to his own immediate family growing up. The stories we all have heard about him and the entire extended family are grotesque to say the lease. I’m sure there are a lot more stones a keen-eyed District Attorney might want to turn over…

I know the son personally and he has never done that before. His sister has never had a problem being around him and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have an autistic family member. Please don’t spread misinformation if you are not sure.
