If the Philadelphia Eagles win the NFC Championship Game matchup verses their divisional rival the Washington Commanders, the Bristol Township Police is anticipating a large crowd to show up at the Five Points intersection in Levittown and police want the intersection to remain clear in the light of recent domestic terrorist attacks where vehicles were used to plow through crowds killing at least 15 people in two separate incidents in Las Vegas and New Orleans.
Police said, in light of several recent national tragedies where vehicles struck civilians during celebrations or events being held, we request the intersection remain clear. There will be a large officer presence and any person entering the intersection will be removed and face criminal penalties. We understand this is an exciting time but we strive to keep everyone safe 24/7 and this is no different. Please consider celebrating at a local establishment or at home.

Township Police issued a similar dictum prior to the Eagles’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in February of 2023.
A few stragglers showed up that night as rain came down but there was no significant Eagles fan turnout after the loss.
On that night as the game progressed from the third to the fourth quarter with the Eagles still in the lead, Bristol Twp Police squad vehicles were strategically placed at the intersection in anticipation of a huge celebration that was never to be because the birds could not cover “the man in motion” a play the Chiefs used in various forms in the final quarter to come back and win the title that night.
