A New Jersey man under the impression he was communicating with a 13 year -old girl on a social media app is behind bars now charged with a series of sex offenses after driving to Bensalem and into a waiting pair of handcuffs.
Oscar Castillo-Peralta was charged with attempted involuntary sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $3,000,000 bail
On January 30, 2025, Castillo-Peralta, 53, from Pleasantville, NJ, began a conversation on the KIK social media app with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female, police say. They traded phone numbers and began conversing via text message. Over the next few weeks, the conversation became sexual, and Castillo-Peralta started to send nude photographs of himself to the 13-year-old female. He also expressed his desire to perform sexual acts on her and have her perform sexual acts on him, police said.
Castillo-Peralta agreed to meet at her home in Bensalem on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, when the juvenile’s mother was not home and she was all alone. He told her he would dress as a door-to-door religious solicitor and planned to knock on neighbors’ doors first so that no one would wonder why he was in the neighborhood, police said.
At 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Castillo-Peralta drove from his home in New Jersey and arrived at the home of the 13-year-old. He was dressed in a suit and was carrying religious materials as planned. What he didn’t plan for was when police moved in and took him into custody.
