Nearby: Feasterville Man Charged with Incest to Meet with Prosecutors for “Pre -Trial Guilty Plea Conference”

Published

The Feasterville man charged for with incest and sexually assaulting a female family member is considering entering a guilty plea to the remaining charge against him.

Charles “Chip” Boyd who was originally charged earlier this year, by Lower Southampton authorities, according to online court records, will discuss entering a guilty plea with county prosecutors when they meet on July 1.

The district attorney’s office withdrew a felony rape count and a misdemeanor indecent assault charge at a court hearing earlier this year. He is currently charged with a second-degree felony count of incest.

Boyd, represented by Ska Law Group LLC of Philadelphia, is currently free on bond, posting bail subsequent to his arrest last January.

According to investigators, officers from Lower Southampton Township Police responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the early morning hours of September 7, 2024 at the 600 block of Ave C in Trevose. The Emergency Room staff at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne notified investigators of the alleged sexual assault incident.

Police met with the assaulted 18-year-old female victim, court records show, who said in a statement that she attended a family gathering at a biological family member’s house on Friday, September 6. She told police that after the family gathering, on September 7, she and Boyd went to the garage to ride quads. Due to drinking, the suspect’s wife took the quads’ keys so they couldn’t go out riding, police wrote in court papers.

The victim told police other family members were present when she and Boyd went into the garage. This is a detached garage located several feet from the residence. Eventually, the others returned to the residence, leaving her and Boyd alone.

She and Boyd engaged in a conversation in the garage. She stated that he then grabbed her by the throat with one hand and said, “Do you like this?” She stated that he then began to kiss her and put his hands underneath her sweatshirt and touched her breasts.

Boyd then told her to turn around and bend over. She replied “no” and he told her it was ok as he is “snipped/fixed and she won’t get pregnant”. She stated she said “no” again. He then turned her around and forced her pants down as she was leaning against the wall. She stated that he penetrated her vagina with his penis.

The victim said she told him that it was hurting her and that she “can’t do this anymore.” However, he did not stop.

She said Boyd then pulled his penis out of her vagina and ended the encounter.

Subsequently police proceeded to the Ave C address where they met with the suspect and his wife at the front door and on the front steps, said police.

Police advised the Boyds about the investigation and asked them if they wanted to speak with them about the allegation, to which they both said “Yes.” Police also asked for written consent to search the detached garage and they again both said yes. Boyd was provided with a written consent to search document which he reviewed and signed, allowing police to search the garage.

Upon entry into the garage police noted there is a video camera set up in the far-left corner. Police asked Boyd how the camera is monitored and he stated that it is cloud-based and the service provider is “Wyze Cam.” He brought up the camera footage on his Apple iPhone cell phone and showed me the camera views which included the interior of the garage.

Police verified through Boyd that his WYZE account which monitors the video camera system affixed to the residence and garage is affiliated with his verizon.net email account. Police also obtained the MAC identification numbers from the seized cameras, court records show.

Police reviewed the seized data and observed several digital images which captured the reported rape along with a video clip.

A DNA analysis report from the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab indicated Boyd’s known DNA sample matched with the rape kit swabs collected in the examination of the victim, the probable cause said.

Published

Police across the commonwealth are warning consumers looking to purchase vehicles online about an uptick in reports in which thieves are using social media based sites to sell stolen vehicles.

Police departments across  Pennsylvania are seeing an uptick of cases in which criminals are using channels like Facebook Marketplace to sell stolen vehicles, often with counterfeit titles or falsified paperwork, law enforcement officials say.

At least one investigator reported, investigators say, that of the vehicles recovered, almost none of them exhibit signs of tampering or damage.

Be cautious and help protect yourself:

  • Verify Vehicle History: Always check the vehicle identification number (VIN) and run a full vehicle history report.
  • Avoid Cash-Only Transactions: Use traceable payment methods and meet sellers in safe, public locations.
  • Inspect Carefully: Look for signs of tampering and never buy a car without confirming its ownership and documentation.

And always remember, authorities say,  if something doesn’t seem right, trust your instincts. Stay alert, stay safe, and don’t let a quick deal turn into a costly mistake.
