Breaking: Bensalem Township Announces Facility Closures effective Tuesday

In furtherance of Governor Wolf’s Proclamation of Disaster Emergency as amended on March 15, 2020, and the public health emergency surrounding the Coronavirus, known as COVID-19, the following Township facilities will be closed  to the public effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until Monday, March 30, 2020, township officials said in a statement. 

 • Bensalem Township Administration Building, 2400 Byberry Road • Bensalem Township Public Works, 3800 Hulmeville Road • Bensalem Township Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road Township personnel are available by telephone to assist the needs of the community by calling the following: • Township Building and Planning Department please call 215-633-3644 • Township Public Works service request can be made at 215-633-3733 • Should you need any other Township service please call 215-633-3600

The Township Police Department will remain open to the public at the designated entrance of the Township Municipal Building fully staffed with Fire and EMS also fully staffed. 

The Bensalem Township Emergency Management Team has protocols in place to ensure safety of First Responders and residents, a spokesperson said, 

Township Advisory Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings are cancelled until March 30, 2020, after which time the situation will be re- evaluated for appropriate action.

All Township sponsored programs, workshops, organized sporting activities, and special events on Township fields or in Township facilities are also cancelled until March 30, 2020, after which time the situation will be re-evaluated for appropriate action, a statement reads.
