Breaking: K.C Tomlinson Announces Run for vacated seat in the 18th Legislative District Special Election:
K.C Tomlinson, daughter of state Senator Robert Tomlinson Announced her run for vacated seat in the 18th Legislative District Special Election Wednesday night.
“I am honored and humbled to announce that I am running as the Republican Nominee for State Representative in the Special Election in the 18th Legislative District. Bensalem is my home. I was born here, raised here, went to school here, bought a home here, and operate my family business here. Bensalem’s priorities are my priorities.
Tomlinson seeks to win the seat, now Bucks County Commissioner Gene DiGirolamo held for many years.
The special election for the seat was announced by Speaker of the House, Mike Turzai earlier Wednesday.
Tomlinson said “Growing up here, I have had the privilege of watching Mayor Joe DiGirolamo, Rep. Gene DiGirolamo and my father serve this community with commitment and dedication; I look forward to continuing that tradition by honorably serving the people of Bensalem while in Harrisburg,’ in posts to social media Wednesday night.
“I am committed to putting first and placing people before politics. Together, we can win on Tuesday, March 17th,” Tomlinson said.
As of press time there is no Democratic candidate running for the house seat.
