Attempted Sexual Assault at Mall Under Investigation, Cops Say



Over the weekend tipsters wrote into Lower Buck Source alerting the publication about an alleged attack and or rape in the parking lot of the Oxford Valley Mall.
On Tuesday Middletown Township police released the following statement with regards to the alleged attack.
Middletown Township Police are currently investigating an attempted sexual assault which occurred outside of the Macy’s located at the Oxford Valley Mall on October 6, 2023 at approximately 6:55 p.m.
The suspect is a white or hispanic male with dark short hair in his late teens or early twenties. The suspect was wearing a Penn State Nittany Lions sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and white sneakers.
The suspect followed the victim from the mall into the parking lot, and reached under her dress grabbing her while she was loading her children into her vehicle. The victim did not know the suspect.
The sources alerting LBS said the woman attacked was taken to a local medical facility for treatment and they were reaching out to the publication “out of concern for the safety of other women.”
Confidential sources also said Mall security was on high alert all weekend long often walking female employees to their vehicles
