One man is dead and two people were injured after a fire at a Bensalem apartment complex that is now under investigation by authorities.
According to a release from township public safety officials, Bensalem first responders were dispatched to Primavera Square Apartments, located at 717 Station Avenue around 6:15 p.m. Saturday evening.
The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department located an active fire in a second-floor apartment. The fire was extinguished but a total of six apartments were impacted by the blaze, authorities said.
“Sadly, an adult male was found deceased as a result of the fire, and two other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No identifying information is being released at this time,” investigators said.
The cause of the fire, authorities said, remains under investigation by Bensalem Fire Rescue and Bensalem Police detectives.
Assistance from the American Red Cross was not required, as all residents were either able to return to their apartments or had alternative accommodations.
No additional information will be released, at this time, investigators said.
