A man wanted by police was shot and killed after he shot at pursuing officers.

The unidentified man was shot on Roosevelt Blvd in Philadelphia, according to NBC 10

The incident began earlier this afternoon when one man was shot at the Racquet Club Apartment Complex in Middletown Township.

A resident of the complex who was pulling into the parking lot at said she saw one with a gun shot wound running towards her, and a second man fleeing the area on foot.

Observers reported a police chase ensued which ended with a officer killing the suspect with one shot, reports say

The name of the shooting victim has yet to be released but was transferred to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

The name of the suspect and what he was wanted is still unclear as of 5:50 pm Wednesday evening.
