Cops: Croydon Man Pepper Sprayed by Family Member during Domestic

A Bristol Township man was jailed Monday charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of unlawful restraint, and a summary offense for  a dinnertime attack involving two family members.

William Stockton Jr, 51 of Croydon was sent to Bucks County Correctional on  10 percent of $25,000.00 for attacking two family members.

Bristol authorities were called to the 600 block of Cedar Avenue just before 5:30 p. Monday for a domestic disturbance report, according to court records.  Police say when they arrived, two family members alleged he was intoxicated when a dispute began in which he accused one of the victims of trying to kill him.

Stockton picked up a full 92 oz bottle of detergent, threw it, striking one of the victims in the shoulder and neck, the criminal complaint alleges.

The first victim texted the second, who was on the second floor of the residence telling her to call 911. The second victim did so and came downstairs with pepper spray, the criminal complaint said.

The older of the two victims, in an attempt to keep the situation from escalating, walked over to the younger victim telling her to go upstairs. As they both approached the base of the stairs, Stockton reached around victim number one placing her in a choke hold falling back onto a couch, pulling her with him while maintaining the choke hold, court records show.

Victim number two sprayed Stockton with the pepper spray which caused him to release his hold on victim number one, court records show.

Victim one showed police a red abrasion on her neck and they took him into custody.  Stockton is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 10.
