Vehicle Bursts into Flames, Driver Escapes with no Injuries, Say Bristol Authorities

Bristol Borough fire crews quickly extinguished a vehicle fire police discovered Wednesday afternoon. 

Bristol Borough Police on patrol located the burning vehicle at the intersection of Beaver and Pond Streets, yards away from Synder- Girotti Elementary School around 2:40 p.m, authorities said. 

The blaze appeared to ignited in the vehicles engine with the motorist in it as it was it was being driven  Bristol Borough Fire Marshal Herb Slack said. 

 The exact cause for the fire is undetermined and no injuries were reported, authorities said. 

Firefighters from the Goodwill Hose Company #3 (52) and Bristol Consolidated Fire Company (50) responded to the incident.
