“Herbie meant a lot to us” said lifelong friend and colleague Councilman Joe Glasson said.

As the township escavator he helped buildup sections of the township, said Glasson, He’ll be missed.

“If the good lord has an escavation company up there he’s already on that escavator digging” said Glasson honoring his friend and co-workers memory with a moment of humor.

A Go Fund Me page was launched to help the family to pay for costs related to Schoell’s services with the goal of raising $50,000. To date just under $15,000 has been raised.

“It will be a long time before he is forgotten” Glasson said.
