Bristol Township Police on Monday released security footage of an attempted burglary in the township’s Croydon section they say is connected to last week’s masked shooter incident in which garages and vehicles were damaged.
According to Lt Mark Titus, officers received a report for an attempted burglary that occurred on Friday, October 23, 2026, at approximately 3:57 a.m. on Dixon Avenue in Croydon.
The report was made five hours after the attempted burglary because the resident was unaware the incident occurred until they checked their cameras later that morning, police said.
The security footage, shows at least one subject was carrying a handgun. Police believe the subjects involved are the same individuals from the incident on nearby Colonial Drive approximately 20 minutes later.
The resident believes the suspects went through their vehicle parked in their driveway, out of their security camera view, prior to checking the door to the garage. Two suspects attempt to open the garage door prior to leaving, Titus, said.
No reported damage occurred to the vehicle or residence.
The resident told police they were welcome to share the footage with the media to aid in identifying the suspects, but their actual address cannot be shared for obvious safety concerns.
Bristol Twp authorities are warning the public they should avoid confronting anyone for safety reasons.
Safety is priority, so residents should call 911 immediately and they should not confront anyone. These individuals should be considered armed and dangerous, Titus said.
“By being a good witness and providing a good description of the subject(s) &/or vehicle(s), your exact location, the subject’s direction of travel plus nearest cross street, and saving any footage obtained for officers would be extremely beneficial.”
Additionally, all residents should ensure their homes and vehicles are locked.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone who has information about this incident or the one that occurred on Colonial Drive should contact Detective T. McDonald at tmcdonald176@bristolpd.org or phone 267-812-2918., Titus said.
