Cops: Drunk Belligerent Woman Throws Wine Bottle & Kicks Cop in Throat

A Yardley drunk woman police were taking home became was so combative she’s been charged and jailed for aggravated assault.
Patricia Marus 59 was arraigned by on -call District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel Tuesday afternoon and was sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility subsequently posting the 10 percent of $100,000.00 bond required the following day for her abusive behavior towards police.
According to Lower Makefield authorities, an officer was called to mutually assist police with the transfer of Marus to her Amberwood Drive residence.
Police said the suspect was screaming, yelling. and cursing in her driveway as officers escorted her into her home.
Marus, according to the criminal complaint, came back outside holding a bottle of wine in her hand, throwing it at her boyfriend who was sitting inside of his parked vehicle in driveway to the home. Police officers were almost hit by the wine bottle and that’s when a responding Sgt attempted to place the drunken woman under arrest.
Marus, said police, became combative and grabbed the microphone cord to the Sgt’s radio and “pulled it tight around his neck” trying trying to choke him. She refused to release the cord after commanded to do so and other officers on scene had to physically remove her hands from the cord.
Once she released the cord, the Sgt handcuffed her, and as he stood Marus up, she kicked him in the throat.
Police took her to headquarters where processing was delayed because she was “too drunk.” the criminal complaint alleges.
Marus is charged with one count of aggravated assault and is scheduled to appear in Morrisville District Court on October 12 according to court records.
