St Mark School, Kelly Kidz Lip Sync Battle Raises Thousands in Effort



A Lip Sync battle for Lower Bucks supremacy last month raised thousands of dollars and highlighted a young girl’s unique approach to the event to the fundraising battle .
The Kelly’s Kidz and St. Mark School fundraiser, was attended by about 300, timed to take place during the local celebration of Catholic School Week at Conwell-Egan High School in Fairless Hills.
The event, highlighted by winner of the contest, Molly Balcer, a St. Mark School third grader who performed “This is Me” from the Greatest Showman, by using American Sign Language.
“Wow! I thought I was at a taping of American Idol,” well known traffic reporter Bob Kelly said.
Kelly emceed the evenings festivities.
Plans for the special event came to fruition when organizers sought out new ideas to raise funds late last year and Kelly’s Kidz loved the idea and bought all in, officials said.
“I was a nervous wreck going into the event, but I am so happy with how the event turned out,” said Meunier.
“I was truly honored & blessed, and would love to do it again in the near future… The stage lit up with smiles of happiness, teamwork, hard-work, dedication, and confidence from all the performers,” said Dana Stone of Stepping Stone Dance Studios.
“The St. Mark kids rose to the challenge and knocked it out of the park,” Meunier said, “Everyone is asking to do it again, so we will see you next year!”
Kelly’s Kidz, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the community to fund the resources needed to provide children in pediatric hospital settings items for play.
