Following three successful annual galas that featured rousing performances from the Fiddlehead String Quartet on the Fallsington Library’s second-floor stage, the library is once again opening its doors and inviting patrons and community members alike to its Oct. 24 Fall Concert Gala.
The fundraising event aims to contribute to Fallsington Library’s programming, which includes year-round fun, hands-on STEAM programs, an immersive summer activity, reading program and a monthly train club.
The popular Fiddlehead String Quartet returns for the night of fun and fundraising. Attendees can enjoy an hour-long concert, followed by refreshments provided by ShopRite of Yardley, games, as well as a finale to the online auction, which will feature more than 20 items. Items available for bid include handmade pottery, jewelry, musical instruments, vintage décor, artwork, and a variety of gift certificates for local dining and area entertainment and attractions.
The online auction will go live on Fallsington Day, which is set for Saturday, Oct. 10 and continue through the gala’s end on Oct. 24.
“Bidders do not need to be present in order to participate – or cast the winning bid,” Fallsington
Library Executive Director Charlene Rendeiro said. “But we would love to show off our library to
some new folks this year.”
This year’s theme is Outshine the Bride … of Frankenstein. Guests are invited to dress accordingly. New and old friends alike enjoy themselves at the library as part of the gala. Previous events have raised roughly $20,000 altogether.
Fallsington Library’s Fall Concert Gala is sponsored in part by Parry Insurance. If you’re interested in sponsoring the event, please email Fallsington Library Executive Director Charlene Rendeiro at rendeiroc@buckslib.org.
