Annual Spring Clean Up of Canal Set, Looking for Volunteers

The Delaware Canal is ready for its annual Spring Clean-Up taking place on April 4 throughout Lower Bucks County and surrounding areas. Last years annual cleanup attracted 320 volunteers and Friends of the Delaware Canal are hoping 350 good souls sign up for this years event. 

The Clean- Up takes place across the region, stretching from Bristol to Easton covering just under 59 miles, officials said. 

Volunteers are especially needed along the Canal from Yardley to Historic Bristol Borough this year as organizers hope to break a records with volunteer sign ups.

The Canal has been divided into approximately 35 Work Areas, and volunteer coordinators will handle the logistics for each of the designated areas volunteers will be cleaning.
