Bristol Supermarket Announces Employee Tests Positive for Coronavirus

A Bristol Borough supermarket announced on Wednesday one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement released by Bristol Selecto Supermarket an employee started to feel symptoms identified with the virus and ” immediately isolated themselves” this past Sunday. 

After closure, the supermarket was cleaned sanitized the statement reads 

The store was informed Wednesday that the employee experiencing the symptoms tested positive for the virus.

We are doing everything recommended by the CDC in terms of cleaning and sanitizing,” a spokesperson for the supermarket said. 

The cleaning and sanitizing is part of daily operated procedures, store management said.

The employee as per guidelines established by health officials will be isolated and follow their Physicians recommendations.

We thank you you for your patronage and understanding during this difficult time,” said store officials. 

The supermarket has been operating in Bristol Borough since 2003. 

Meanwhile, Bucks County officials said Wednesday there were 55 new COVID-19 cases identified raising the total to 373.

No new deaths were reported, but 32 patients are hospitalized, including 10 in critical condition, Dr. David Damsker, director of the Bucks County Department of Health, said as of Thursday morning.
