At some point late last year after Democrats took over the majority on the Bensalem Township Council and School Board Democrat Bryan Allen decided incumbent Republican state Rep K.C. Tomlinson was beatable.
House District 18 voters brough that calculation to fruition Tuesday with Allen beating Tomlinson by a little about nine points, according to unofficial Bucks County results.

Allen in a statement issued last night thanked voters for their “trust.”
“I owe this victory to my friends, family, campaign team, and volunteers who made this possible, especially my wife Melissa and our three amazing kids. I experienced a win on election night when I won my seat on Bensalem Council, and I felt so much gratitude. I’m reliving that, knowing that my community is putting trust in me again over 10 years later”
Polling released in September and October had Allen leading the race but by a smaller margin then his win last night.
Allen thanked Tomlinson for her service to the community.
Allen, has served as councilman and was also the former Chief of Staff to State Rep. Tina Davis (who also won last night in a landslide).
Tomlinson has yet to make to public statement on last nights outcome.
“I am eager to turn the page and start working hard to deliver for our kids, seniors, working families, and first responders. I am ready to fight to give our kids the education they deserve, and make sure Pennsylvania is putting our families’ and small business’ budgets ahead of corporate and tech billionaire profits.”
