NOVA Honors & Celebrates Their Volunteers

NOVA, Bucks County’s comprehensive crime victim services agency, recently held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Giuseppe’s Pizza and Family Restaurant in Warminster. More than 70 volunteers were honored for their service by NOVA board and staff members.

NOVA’s volunteers provide valuable assistance in supporting victims of crime and working to end violence. Over 200 volunteers help with tasks such as, answering the 24/7 Helpline, working at the NOVA Thrift Shop, staffing special events, serving on the NOVA Board, and providing administrative and committee support.

This year, 14 volunteers received special honors for reaching milestone anniversaries of service to NOVA:

“We are so appreciative of our volunteers for their dedication to NOVA’s mission and for donating their time and talents,” said Julie Dugery, Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator, NOVA. “The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for the many ways they support our work, through strengthening our programs, uplifting our community, and helping us make a meaningful impact on the lives of the clients we serve. We truly couldn’t do what we do without them.”
