Upcoming Fall 2026 Events at Silver Lake Nature Center
Fall Foliage Walk. Wednesday, 11/4, 1pm-2:30pm. This wonderful Walk will start with a brief indoor presentation of what makes leaves transform into the beautiful colors we love and why some trees keep their leaves through the fall and winter. We will also discuss some ways to identify trees based on their leaves.
Then we will get outside and enjoy a peaceful walk on the trails, observing the beautiful colors of the leaves and the sounds of fall animals scurrying about. We will try to identify some trees based on their crisp, fallen leaves.
The focus of this Walk is using our senses to enjoy the serenity of Nature in autumn.
