Breaking: Indoor Flea Market Taking Old Bristol Walmart Location

An indoor flea market is coming to the Bristol filling the space vacated in Bristol Park Shopping Center by Walmart vin November 2017.

PhilaFleaMarkets Market Coordinator Anthony Soprano confirmed the news Sunday afternoon to Lower Bucks Source.

Soprano said the grand opening is scheduled for the weekend of January 4.

The announcement came to light from a social media post on a popular Facebook page.

Soprano said he’s been waiting for Walmart’s lease to run its course for about two years looking to pounce on the opportunity to open an indoor market at the 120,000 square foot location.

Brixmor Property Group, company said the lease ended in November, Soprano said.

The indoor flea market will feature antique and vintage, used and household, new and handmade, and punk rock sections and will be holding sign ups for food  and merchandise vendors. in the coming weeks, Soprano said.

Phila Flea Markets had looked at the space two years ago but Walmart’s  lease  continued despite the store closing creating a roadblock.

Brixmor (a commercial real estate firm) said the lease was up in November,” he said.

The flea market will feature antique and vintage, used and household, new and handmade, and punk rock sections. The flea market also interested in adding food vendors.

Phila Flea Markets, operates popular markets at the Roosevelt Mall and Penns Landing locations in Philadelphia

Soprano said the  flea market’s deal for the property is a short term one but he’s hoping to move the market outdoors come Spring.

“We’re really hoping this takes off so we can bring our vendors outside once the warm weather starts” he said, “Hopefully in April we’ll be able to do that.”
