Cops: Bristol Man Throws Salsa Bowl at Wife in Fit of Rage about Utility Bill

A Bristol Township man was charged with aggravated  and simple assault in a domestic dispute last week.

According to police, Olegario Sanchez, 45 of Cryodon, threw a stone made salsa bowl at his significant other in a dispute about the electric bill.

Police were called to 536 Sycamore Avenue, last Tuesday night at 8:30 for a domestic incident in progress. Upon arrival, police met with the victim and another family member to investigate. Officers noted, the victim had contusion on her head with blood seeping out, court records show.

Police, with permission, entered the home to interview a second family member who witnessed the incident. The witness, according to court records, said that Sanchez did fling the  heavily made salsa bowl at the victim, striking her in the back of the head while they were arguing. .

Family members transported the victim to a medical facility where she received an undisclosed number of stitches in her head, police wrote in court records.

Sanchez was taken into custody, arraigned later that night and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Borough District Court on September 8 to answer to the charges.
