Cops: Pottstown Man Charged for Seeking Sex with Girls Under 13

Bensalem Police arrested and charged a Pottowns man for attempting to have sex with girls under 13 on Thursday, authorities said.

Bensalem Police on Friday announced the arrest of Uturah Golson, 32, of Pottstown.

According to police, Golson while using a dating app began a conversation with what he thought was a 12 year old girl in March of this year.

The conversation was sexual in nature with Golson asking if the juvenile liked older men, if she had sex and he also asked if she would send him nude photos.  The messaging continued for over three months during which, Golson asked the juvenile to meet with him to have sexual intercourse  and specifically described the sexual acts that he wanted to perform on her, according to police.

Golson, on July 8 took public transportation from his Pottstown home to Bensalem to meet with the juvenile to have a sexual encounter, police said,  however the meeting never took place.

Bensalem Police were aware Golson was in the area while he was messaging the juvenile stating that he was at her residence, public safety officials said.

After the canceled meeting, Golson continued to message the 12-year-old.  At one point, the juvenile stated that she was at her friends house.  Golson asked about her friends age and when she said 11-years-old, Golson asked to meet to have sex with both of them, police said.

On Thursday at 11:00 am, Pottstown Police arrested Golson at his residence. He was transported to Bensalem for processing, and was arraigned shortly thereafter. He was charged with of criminal attempt rape of child under the age of 13. Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child. Statutory sexual assault. Unlawful contact with a minor. Sexual abuse of children. Corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility.

It’s the second arrest of a man seeking seek from girls 13 and under in Lower Bucks County this week. 

Golson is currently in Bucks County Correctional Facility with a bail set at 10 percent of $10 million dollars by District Justice Joseph Falcone.

A review of online public court records show Goloson has several arrests none of which are sex based crimes.
