Morrisville Borough Council unanimously approved the contact and hiring of new Borough Manager Judith Danko on Tuesday night at a special meeting that took all of 12 minutes.

After the vote, council members loudly cheered their new hire.
Danko attending the meeting through video conferencing said, “thank you very much. I look forward to meeting everyone in person, I greatly appreciate being able to join you through zoom this evening here on Zoom.”
Danko who was on the job last night as she had a scheduled meeting to attend for her Kutztown position will be formally submitting her 30- day notice to Kutztown today.
Borough Solicitor Randy Flager detailed, at the request of Councilman Justin Bowers, the entirety of the hiring process.
“This process began a number of months ago with the unfortunate death of Scott Michelle bless his memory which came on very suddenly. Council for months has gathered resumes finally hired a firm to do that, and Dave Woglom, over at the university, put a very quick time table together and got a significant number of additional resumes council reviewed them, culled the herd and began to interview’s he said
Flager added he was truly pleased with the and hard work of council ;pointing out “no one knew any of the applicants” on a personal level prior to the interview process taking place.
“I look forward to building a partnership with everyone. I thank you all for your due diligence, patience and all of your hard work put towards this process, because it certainly has been a lot of fun. Again thank you all. I appreciate all of your efforts,” said the new borough manager.

Danko served as Borough Manager for Slatington Borough (2017-2018), Freemansburg on two separate occasions for a total of 15 years and Bath Borough for just over 7 and 1/2 years, according to her Linkdin profile.

Details of Danko’s contract were not revealed during the meeting,
Council President Ted Parker did not reply to a request for comment about the hiring.
Council is scheduled to meet next Monday night for a full agenda meeting.
