Trenton Man’s Trial for 2020 Jefferson Ave Shooting Rescheduled
A 20 year-old Trenton man, charged last week in a failed rip off attempt that left one man dead, and three others with gunshot wounds, including himself in Falls Township, had his trial for a Bristol Borough shooting continued until November, according to county court records.
Hassan Bass is accused of firing his gun several times in what police then describe was a prearranged fight between two groups of men on March 19 of 2020 on the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue, said police.
The suspects gun fire struck the vehicle at least one time, although multiple shell casings were found at the scene and collected as evidence by police.
Borough police issued a warrant his arrest days after the shooting in which no one was injured. Bass was picked up on the arrest warrant during a traffic stop by Bordentown Township Police on July 31 a press release said
His trial was scheduled for September 16, however law enforcement sources indicated it was pushed back due to his arrest last week for a December 2020 shooting and attempted robbery in Falls Township.
Bass also has a second case out of Falls Twp which was also continued until November in which he is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct,and harassment.
In the Bristol Borough case, Bass is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and three related offenses.
He is currently in Bucks County Prison awaiting court dates on all three cases.
