Bucks Habitat for Humanity to hold Virtual Home Dedication for New Bristol Neighbors

Bristolians will have the chance to welcome a new neighbor to the community this week virtually care of two local non profits,

On Thursday Bucks Habitat for Humanity will dedicate a newly completed home in Bristol Borough to a family through a virtual event. 

The dedication will begin at 4 pm and will be streamed live on Facebookl (@HabitatBucksCounty) from the 600 block of Spruce Street.

Habitat staff, representatives from Thrivent, key community stakeholders, volunteers, and the homebuyer will be on hand for the dedication.

“Getting my own home for my children has given me tremendous courage and the knowledge that we are capable of anything if we perservere,” said new homeowner Elaine.

The home which has been under construction since earlier this year, was just recently completed and filled an the spot on the block which for some was an eyesore.

Habitat for Humanity sells newly constructed or renovated homes to qualified families and individuals who live or work in Bucks County and meet the program qualifications.

According to the non-profits website, the effort has renovated and or rehabbed over 120 homes in Bucks County for families to purchase.
