A fire that reportedly started in the bedroom of a Levittown home in the Blue Ridge section Wednesday night is under investigation by the Bristol Township Fire Marshal’s office.
Fire crews from Third District Volunteer Fire Company Edgely Fire Company (Ten House) Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department Croydon Fire Company, Station 11 were dispatched for mutual aid to Levittown Fire Company # 2 for a reported house fire at on the 100 block of Balsam Rd, at 7:19 p.m with reported entrapment.

First crews made quick work of this expanded one story dwelling, fire officials said, as residents were able to safely flee the blaze, Levittown Fire Company # 2 officials said.
First responders took control of the fire, beating it back “quickly”, fire officials said.
Residents smelled smoke just before discovering the fire in a bedroom, Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and remains under investigation, Dippolito said.
The Red Cross is responding to assist the family with temporary housing.
The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad was also dispatched to the fire scene to provide medical supports .
No injuries were reported.
