Bristol Township Fire/Rescue/Emergency Management in cooperation with the Bristol Twp. Senior Center is offering Citizens Emergency Preparedness program
This free 2-day program will provide Bristol Twp. residents with an understanding of municipal emergency management, and training to prepare residents to help themselves, their family, and neighbors in the event of an emergency or disaster situation.
When: Wednesdays July 8th and July 29th, 9am – 12pm
Where: Bristol Township Senior Center, 2501 Bath Rd.
Topics will include:
> Functions of emergency management
> Local Disaster -vs- State of Emergency
> Hazards & vulnerabilities in Bristol Township
> Agencies involved in large Emergency Management Operations
> Emergency Management planning for large storms and scheduled events
> Discuss supplies needed in your home and vehicle emergency kit
> Preparing your home or apartment for severe storms
> Emergencies involving utilities in your home or business
> Disaster first aid and CPR
> Fire safety and fire extinguisher training
> Tour of the township’s Emergency Operations Center (optional)
Requirements to Apply:
> Must be 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian
> Must be a resident of Bristol Township
